:iconmerlotandmarlboros:
What was I thinking
I let go again
and started the same slope into longing that I have walked so many times before.
Wait for that next look
That next drink
That next accidental grasing brush of your hand or your foot or any other part of you against any part of me.
It's never the right parts
I 've gone back to just remembering.
Recollecting.
Reliving the times when we were in close quarters.
Same city
same building
same room
same bed.
You asked me if I remembered
when I said that there was never moments of total Happiness.
You reminded me then asked me If I
remebered.
Silly question.
It's still the tie that matches my birthday suit the best.
And doesn't go bad with yours.
There are many things I forget
It's simplifying so when I age I can hold on memories of you for sure.
I've started wishing.
On starlights, Star brights
the first through last stars I see every night.
Hoping for the things that I was sure about three short years ago.
I've lost sleep couting foreign suns the past nights and I'm starting to feel silly wondering how many have burnt out centuries ago.
When will new stars be born so I can name a constellation after you so when I talk to the heavens I'm not calling your name in vain.
